At the first meeting ,medical history is asked in details, previous laboratory tests results are investigated and examination is done. If semen analysis are good and there are no sexual dysfunctions there is no need for further examination of a male. On the other hand examination of a woman is extremely important since it can increase the chances for becoming pregnant. During examinatıon uterus structure is investigated, presence of any unwanted formation e.g. myoms, polyps, cysts or congenital abnormalities is checked, ovaries capacities are investigated as well. If routine examination didn't take place recently, PAP Smear test and genital tract culture test must be done.
Basing on results of examination and laboratory tests and paying attention to medical history specialists develop further steps of treatment and give qualified opinion to a couple about their chances to become parents. At the same time information about average results of cycles that were finished, number of embryos which will be transferred and success rate of IVF center (success rate of each transferred embryo for staying in uterus). Also it is obligatory to inform couple about potential side effects and long-term risks (both for mother and a baby). It's necessary to explain high probability of multiple pregnancy as well since it's not always desirable and future parents must be ready for this.

During all period of treatment try to get enough sleep and keep yourself away from stress
No particular diet is recommended. However animal studies showed benefits in eating high protein food.
Since treatment procedures requires 20-21th day of woman's period medication for ovaries might be prescribed (Lucrin, Suprecur, Synarel, Suprefact, Decapeptyl etc.)
Sometimes it might be necessary to take birth control pills or estrogen (e.g. Estrofem).
Laboratory tests (e. g. Hormones, Hepatitis B and C, HIV, Rubella IgG, hemogram, blood group determination) must be done before starting the treatment.
